Climbing a lotQuick update: I'm climbing every weekend - hardly spending any time at home. Oliver is still a badass.
I'm working on 'Mad Hatter, 5.12d' and getting cock-punched (reference to 'Onion, the movie' with Steven
Segal as the Cockpuncher). I did make it to the last bolt before falling though...
I had my window in Oliver
shot out by a neighbor. It cost 1/5 the price of my van to fix it. Luckily the neighbor is paying for it.
The ants go marching in.... to my office. Everywhere. I spent your tax dollars killing them with lasers.
Saw Jimmy Deans and the poganonamist at Shelf Road over the weekend - awesome vertical limestone. Only bagged
one 5.12a but it was a good 'un.
Went for a bike ride the other weekend. Turns out its hard to forfeit
climbing for biking these days. I got killed in the uphill but quickly made up several hundred yards in the downhill
(at least I haven't lost that). I feel so much more comfortable with bleeding knuckles, swollen fingers, pumped
forearms, hanging from my fingernails 100 ft over the top of some pointy boulders.
Coming up: Red Rocks in
October, Potrero in Dec.
The ultimate goal: Climb either Goliath 5.13a, or Weeping Jesus 5.13a before the
ski season starts... I have a really tough life.
